Frequently Asked Questions
Q:
What would be a cheap but good telescope?
A:
There are many reasonably priced but good telescopes available.
It really depends on your budget and what your intended purposes were.
Since you have quoted the Celestron C50 Mini Mak, I can point you towards a few different telescopes here:
For astronomy use, you may consider one of the following reflector telescopes we've listed here(http://www.ozscopes.com.au/guides/telescopes-guide). They range between $129 to $350 for a good beginner's telescope for sky viewing.
If you were after land viewing apparatus, then binoculars would be more suitable. We've listed a few based on use(birding, hunting, travel etc) on this page here(http://www.ozscopes.com.au/guides/binoculars-guide/what-type-of-binoculars-do-i-need.html)

Q:
What is the body made out of? Are the optics made of glass or plastic?
A:
To be honest I'm not too sure what the body is made out of but they look like fairly sturdy plastic. The optics are made out of glass and are decent quality. ;)
Q:
Does the Celestron T-Adapter attach to the C50 to permit DSLR photography? Of course, assuming that I have a matching T-Ring.
A:
Yes, T-Adapter and T-Ring will allow you to take photos. Go with the Universal 1.25" for your C50.
