Solar eclipses can be described as one of nature's most spectacular astronomical phenomenons. Australia was lucky enough to be on the receiving end of last year's Total Solar Eclipse. Now, we are lucky once more! On the 10th May 2013, an Annular Solar Eclipse will occur in Earth's Southern Hemisphere and will be visible in the Northern states of Australia such as Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland. For the rest of us in this land down under, we are still able to experience a Partial Solar Eclipse!
HOW RARE IS THE SOLAR ECLIPSE?
Solar eclipses happen more often that you might think! The number of solar eclipses in a single year can range from 2 to 5. Total Solar Eclipses happens once every year or every two years where as Annular Solar Eclipses can happen every year!
