The Yukon Patrol 5x60 Night Vision Monocular is remarkable for its high light- gathering capacity and stunning high power magnification that far surpasses the capabilities of standard night vision devices. The figure of the visual magnification – 5 power – is one of the most impressive among gen.1 night vision devices. The housing of the unit is made of highly durable plastic. Efficient internal arrangement of parts and components contribute to an optimal weight-dimensions ratio. The Patrol 5x60 is equipped with a built-in IR illuminator for observing images in complete darkness and also when there are insufficient levels of natural illumination at night (to increase quality and range of observation). I had been toying with a purchase from OZHut for a couple of years after my latest NV gear from USA gave up the ghost. A great deal appeared for my preference and here I am. I can not truly describe the fantastic deal I got. And the online customer service was exemplary. Professional! Postal service is direct and uncomplicated. Great equipment and gets better with use. The YK Pat 5x60 is pure pleasure. Get It!!

I expected it to be average quality as,i had been spoilt after 20 yrs in Australian army, with some equipment I have used.
But I was wrong, this bit of kit is almost perfect for when we leave a scent trail, and lay in ambush for foxes. If the bounty remains It should pay for itself in no time.

This is the first night vision product I have purchased, which I took to Kenya on a recent game viewing trip. The NV 5 x 60 was easy to pack for the flight and carry outdoors. Usage was very simple and very effective and was worth every cent I paid for it.

    FAQ

    Q:
What device is better for distance, clarity and over all performance? Yukon NV 5x60 or Yukon Exelon 3x50?
    A:
In terms of clarity and overall performance, the Yukon Exelon 3x50 is significantly better given that it is a Gen 1+ instead of a Gen 1. Although the Gen 1+ is not the same as a Gen 2, the Gen 1+ produces images that are sharper, brighter and less noisy compared to a Gen 1. The Yukon NV 5x60 however would perform slightly better in terms of distance due to the larger lens and magnification. The larger lens also means that it is slightly brighter compared to the Exelon.
    Q:
I am interested in buying the Yukon NV 5x60 Night Vision Monocular, I would like to know if there is any available head gear for this model?
    A:
This item does not have an available headgear option as this unit has a 5x zoom, and the image you see would be out of perspective. Headgear would only really be useful if you intended on standing still while using the device.
