Details
The Celestron Advanced Biological Microscope is an intermediate level microscope with advanced features such as an Abbe Condenser, Iris Diaphragm, and Electric Illuminator. The Abbe Condenser is a moveable and more precise condenser that can be moved up and down vertically, regulating the amount of light illuminated. The Iris Diaphragm adjusts the amount of light that passes through a slide specimen, and also allows the optimization of resolution, contrast, and sharpness. The Electric Illuminator gives the user a better and direct control of light.

The Celestron Advanced Biological Microscope has two eyepieces of 10x and 12.5x power. When combined with the Triple Objective Nosepiece of 4x, 10x, and 40x objective lenses, the microscope provides powers of 40x/50x/100x/125x/400x/500x for serious usage. This Microscope also has an adjustable arm of 0° to 60° for a comfortable view. The microscope 's stage has a large working area of 115mm x 125mm (4.5" x 4.9") giving the user an easier time to center slide specimens. The coarse and fine focusing knobs on this Celestron Microscope make focusing easier at powers of 400x and higher.

The microscope comes with a Blue Filter, useful for enhanced contrast and color correction. In addition to these features is the quality construction of Celestron Microscopes. The Celestron Advanced Biological Microscope is made of all metal, giving the microscope lasting durability and rigidity. All optical components are made out of glass and are fully coated to eliminate image degrading, reflections, and glare. The Celestron Advanced Biological Microscope comes with five prepared slides so you can begin enjoying right out of the box. Lastly, this microscope by Celestron comes with a two year limited warranty. These features of the Celestron Advanced Biological Microscope make it a great intermediate level microscope with advanced features without the expensive price tag.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:
I was just wondering how many micrometers wide the full zoom is? Also, how about the least zoom?
A:
The microscope is not a zoom microscope but uses set powers for both the eyepieces (2 powers available) and objectives (3 powers available). At 500x, which is the highest power, the approximate field of view (FOV) is 400 microns and at the lowest 40x power, the FOV is approximately 5000 microns.
