Frequently Asked Questions
Q:
In the specs I noted photo/video adaptable. How does this work? Will the device work with a fujifilm finepix 1500 and dv camera's? Or are there certain camera's this device will work with?
A:
To take photos or video with the Yukon 3x42 Night Vision Monocular Multi Task NVMT, you would need to purchase camera adapters to take pictures through the monocular's eyepiece.
For digital cameras, you can use a Digital Camera Adapter (http://www.extravision.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=377) where you screw on your camera onto the little platform and level it properly so that the camera lens is in front of the monocular eyepiece. This adapter works for digital cameras (the point-and-shoot ones) and camcorders as well, and should work for your camera.
If you own a DSLR, you would need a NVMT PHOTO CAMERA ADAPTER (http://www.extravision.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=376) where the unit replaces the monocular's eyepiece. You would also need a T-ring (http://www.ozscopes.com.au/accessories/astrophotography) that would fit onto your DSLR lens and can be screwed onto the photo camera adapter to take photos with.
