Details
This Star Disc planisphere is double-sided, and has been created for use in the Southern Hemisphere (i.e. Australia, New Zealand, South America, South Africa etc.).

A planisphere is essentially a star chart that functions as to display the visible stars in the sky for any time and date. Its purpose is to assist you in learning how to recognize stars and constellations, and has proven to be a big help for beginners.

As an analogue computing instrument, it consists of two adjustable disks that rotate on a common pivot, and will contain the brightest stars and constellations visible from the Southern Hemisphere.

This Star Disc comes in clear PVC plastic, printed in black for maximum visibility and durability. With a reference guide with a list of stars, binoculars objects and planet positions valid until 2014, the Star Disc is an excellent kick-off to the world of astronomy.

The clear, uncluttered design is courtesy of Wil Tirion. Suitable for latitudes 25° to 45° South. (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina & Chile).

Size: 27 x 24 cm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:
I live in the United States. I would like to send the Star Disc - Planisphere to my nephew for his birthday. He lives in NSW Australia. I would like to pay for it using PayPal (so the exchange rate wouldn't be a problem). How can I do this? Your billing information section only accepts info from Australia.
A:
This shouldn't be a problem. I recommend using the delivery address for both the billing and shipping address, and you can use your own PayPal account for payment. I just checked if we can accept payments from international PayPal accounts and it seems there is no known issues.
