Easy viewing of sunspots - Review by Megan
Overall Score
Well-priced 'entry level' solar filter that displays a natural white image and allows you to see sunspots but not flares and prominences. Fits my 70 mm Celestron Astromaster 70 EQ refractor but I have to affix it with duct tape if it's to stay on the end of the telescope -- not ideal. I'm sure the mylar is very strong, but I'm still afraid of puncturing it, so handle with care. Having said that, I'm glad I got this as a beginner as it gives me a chance to view the sun and then upgrade to a glass filter if I want to later on. (Posted on 2/08/11)

Pros: light, Good price
