    Description

The Skywatcher BKP1501EQ3 Newtonian Reflector Telescope is a top of the line, premium astronomical telescope brought to you by Skywatcher. Its massive 150mm aperture and 1200mm focal length ensures that you get to see astounding images of deep space objects, our planetary neighbours, and other popular celestial bodies.

    Superb Light Gathering Power
Aperture dictates how much light a telescope can collect. That light is then reflected and focused into the eyepiece allowing you to view magnified images of distant objects. A 150mm aperture provides more than enough power to view stars that are invisible to the naked eye. It also unlocks more surface details of our closest neighbours in the solar system.

    Newtonian Reflector Advantage
The cost advantage of the Newtonian Reflector design is very noticeable in telescopes with higher aperture sizes. It’s easier and cheaper to manufacture larger mirrors compared to solid lens. Imaging quality is maintained and the largest optical telescopes in use today are mostly of the Newtonian Reflector design. You definitely get value for your money when you choose a reflector telescope.

    High Quality Parts and Components
Skywatcher uses high quality components to ensure your telescope delivers sharp images with greatly reduced chromatic aberrations. The EQ3 mount provides adequate support for the optical tube and any imaging equipment you wish to add. It’s lightweight but sturdy and easy to pack for travel to your favourite stargazing spots.

*Please note, the image through all finder scopes will be upside down.

A great scope with fairly good lenses. - Review by
    Overall Score

I upgraded from a 70mm refractor telescope to this 150mm reflector scope
I found that the image is more clearer and easier to focus.
The 70mm Saxon was good, but this is fantastic.
The quality of the lenses and eye pieces are better than I expected for the price range, but I bought extra filters and lenses. I would advise anyone else who buys this to do the same.
The telescope is exellent only dulled by the cheaper eyepieces and lenses.
The scope is a bit heavy to carry because of the heavy weights on the tripod.
But I remove the weights so I can move the scope to outdoors and then screw the weights back on. A bit tedious but works well for me since I have to carry it downstairs.
I'm still a beginner, but this is perfect. By the way there are no gps or motors on this particular tripod. Which keeps my price range down to an affordable price.
