Outstanding Video Recording Features
The Recon 550R is equipped with an integrated video recorder to capture all images observed and an additional jack to be linked with external sources. The jack can function in both "video in" and "video out", allowing the connection of external video recording sources or TV set facilitating long-time stationary viewing. To ensure that you will never miss a thing, a "Motion" function is available - a functiona that automatically launches recording as soon as a moving object appears in the field of view of device (the unit saves a 5-second long fragment before object appears and 5 seconds after it disappears).
Powerful IR-Illuminator Capabilities
As expected from a good night vision device, the Recon 550R is able to operate in complete darkness with its built-in 805nm IR illuminator which is then processsed by the CCD sensor; giving you a clear image. The system also has built in safeguards to ensure that accidental exposure to bright light doesn’t affect the sensor.
Designed with Durability and Versatility in mind
Weaver rails and standard 1.4” thread support is present on this monocular. This allows you to use it with your preferred tripod and attach a variety of accessories to it. You can even mount it in a static position for use in long term night time observation.
