    Description

The Saxon 1309EQMS is a High Powered Newtonian Reflector Telescope. It is excellent for observing the moon, solar system, planets and a wide range of astronomical objects.

It is definitely a more powerful reflector telescope for the advanced beginner astronomic viewer. It comes with an aluminised and overcoated 5.2" mirror as well as a motor drive. It's 130mm primary mirror collects 30% more light than the 114mm telescope, resulting in better resolution and brighter images.

The Saxon 1309EQMS Newtonian Reflector Telescope comes with a 3 year Warranty.

*Please note, the image through all finder scopes will be upside down.

Excellent Beginners Telescope - Review by
    Overall Score
    100
Fantastic beginners scope. I have always been fascinated by the moon as it appears to emit light rather than reflect it. I decided on a Telescope rather than Night observation Binoculars. I allowed a budget of under $500 and was very surprised with the quality of the viewing the Saxon Velocity provides. Assembly was very easy, and portability is no problem being super light. The Tripod feels rigid when tightened by hand, also the motorised drive unit which rotates and pivots the telescope makes for a very nice feature . Value for money and very good viewing clarity.

Despite living in country SA, shipped overnight!

Tripod is good quality, and i have no problem transporting/moving it.
Assembly instructions were a bit thin, but it all came together beautifully.

As a first telescope, it was fantastic value for money, and the crisp images it generates means every spare evening is spent sky gazing!

    Highly recommended, thanks ozscopes!

    FAQ

    Q:
When referring to a Finderscope, what does "6x24" mean?
    A:
The finder scope is what you use to see exactly where the telescope is looking. The numbers refer to the strength of the magnification. 6x means looking through the telescope the image will be 6 times closer than what you see with an unaided human eye The number after the X refers to the size of the lens. So x24 mean that the lens is 24mm in diameter (the larger the lens the more light is let it=better for low light/no light viewing)
    Q:
What is warranty for this telescope?
    A:
The warranty on the Saxon F1309EQMS telescope is 3 years.
    Q:
I live in Auckland,NZ, could we do business? what would shipping costs be on a SAXON F1309EQMS?
    A:
Unfortunately, we don't ship any of our products outside of Australia.
    Q:
Can you please indicate what the description given "wide range of astronomical objects" actually refers to?
    A:
By "wide range of astronomical objects" it refers to viewing the galaxies, stars, nebulae, moon and planets, rather than just the moon and planets, as some telescopes with smaller apertures would only be able to do. At 130mm aperture the Saxon F1309EQMS would be able to view planets, stars, and nebulae better.
