    Celestron PowerSeeker Accessory Kit

This Celestron PowerSeeker Eyepiece and Filter Kit is comes with fully coated eyepieces for medium to higher power viewing and filters that are invaluable to lunar and planetary observing. An Economy Choice to upgrade your telescope and expand your enjoyment.

    In the Box:
    15mm Kellner Eyepiece
A 15mm eyepiece offers you a good mid-range magnification that will help you spot planetary nebulae and give you a clear view of globular clusters

    9mm Kellner Eyepiece
With a 9mm Kellner you get a narrow field of view that allows you to see a larger piece of the sky - an excellent eyepiece for deep sky or planetary vieiwing!

    #80A Blue Planetary Filter
A filter that enhances the boundaires between the reddish belts and adjacent bright zones of Jupiter. Very useful to view Mars during the violet clearing. Viewing of other planets including Saturn, Venus and Mercury are also improved.

    #25 Red Planetary Filter
The #25 Red Planetary Filter is useful if you want to study the bluer clouds of Jupiter. It is also ideal for the observation of ice caps on Mars and improves the observation of Mercury at twilight, when the planet is near the horizon.

    Moon Filter
The moon filter is a great filter that reduces the brightness of the moon and improves contrast so that you can see lunar surfaces in greater detail.

    Exellent addition - Review by
    Overall Score
This kit is a great addition to standard lenses and eye pieces you get when you buy a new telescope.
The filters are great for moon viewing, and the 15mm eyepiece is probably my favourite now.
A great kit for the beginner.
To buy individually would cost a lot more.

I have the Astromaster 70az would you recommend this kit for this telescope?
Thanks for the email. Yes we highly recommend any of these small kits. This or the astromaster eyepiece and filter kit - http://www.ozscopes.com.au/celestron-astromaster-eyepiece-and-filter-kit.html They are great value for what you get. Both have a few eyepieces and filters which make viewing better and easier, the astromaster kit also has the barlow lens which the powerseeker kit doesn't. The barlow lens is a doubling lens that doubles the magnification of any eyepiece you use with it.
im new to astronomy and am looking to buy filters and some more eyepieces. I have a 8in Dobson telescope. Could you tell me the best to buy as this is my next big buy after my telescope! thank you
You should be looking at 1.25" eyepieces for your telescope. I would recommend purchasing the Celestron eyepieces kit. In these kits you will get a variety of eyepieces and filters to play around with. You can have a look at all of them here: http://www.ozscopes.com.au/celestron-powerseeker-eyepiece-and-filter-kit.html http://www.ozscopes.com.au/celestron-astromaster-eyepiece-and-filter-kit.html http://www.ozscopes.com.au/celestron-eyepiece-and-filter-kit-1-25-in.html Alternatively, you can look into buying individual eyepieces. These eye pieces vary according to your needs. So firstly, you would properly need to distinguish what exactly you want to see, how much magnification do you want etc. This is why these kits are helpful as they will allow you to play around with options before deciding on what you prefer.
I saw two kits on this website, one is Celestron Eyepiece and Filter Kit 1.25 in and other is Celestron PowerSeeker Eyepiece and Filter Kit. Which kit is better for Celestron Powerseeker 60AZ Refractor Telescope?
The Eyepiece and Filter kit is quite expensive and generally, we would recommend the Powerseeker kit for Powerseeker telescopes. However, from your previous Email, if you intend to upgrade your Telescope in the near future, I would highly recommend going for the Eyepiece and Filter kit as they come with much better quality eyepieces and a larger range of filters. Those eyepieces would be suitable on your Powerseeker 60AZ.
