Details
The Celestron PowerSeeker series of telescopes is a great way to open up the wonders of the Universe to the aspiring astronomer. The PowerSeeker series is designed to give the first-time telescope user the perfect combination of quality, value, features and power. Amateur astronomy is a great family hobby that can be enjoyed year round, and Celestron PowerSeekers are the ideal choice for families looking for an affordable and high quality telescope that will provide many hours of enjoyment for children and adults alike. To enhance the viewing experience and extend the features of your Celestron telescope, the optional Eyepiece and filter kit will double the enjoyment of sky observations!

The Celestron PowerSeeker Eyepiece and Filter Kit comes with fully coated eyepieces for medium to higher power viewing and filters that are invaluable to lunar and planetary observing. The following are including in this accessory kit:

15mm Kellner Eyepiece
A 15mm eyepiece offers you a good mid-range magnification that will help you spot planetary nebulae and give you a clear view of globular clusters

9mm Plossl Eyepiece
With a 9mm Plossl you get a narrow field of view that allows you to see a larger piece of the sky - an excellent eyepiece for deep sky or planetary vieiwing!

#80A Blue Planetary Filter
A filter that enhances the boundaires between the reddish belts and adjacent bright zones of Jupiter. Very useful to view Mars during the violet clearing. Viewing of other planets including Saturn, Venus and Mercury are also improved.

#25 Red Planetary Filter
The #25 Red Planetary Filter is useful if you want to study the bluer clouds of Jupiter. It is also ideal for the observation of ice caps on Mars and improves the observation of Mercury at twilight, when the planet is near the horizon.

Moon Filter
The moon filter is a great filter that reduces the brightness of the moon and improves contrast so that you can see lunar surfaces in greater detail.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:
I saw two kits on this website, one is Celestron Eyepiece and Filter Kit 1.25 in and other is Celestron PowerSeeker Eyepiece and Filter Kit. Which kit is better for Celestron Powerseeker 60AZ Refractor Telescope?
A:
The Eyepiece and Filter kit is quite expensive and generally, we would recommend the Powerseeker kit for Powerseeker telescopes. However, from your previous Email, if you intend to upgrade your Telescope in the near future, I would highly recommend going for the Eyepiece and Filter kit as they come with much better quality eyepieces and a larger range of filters. Those eyepieces would be suitable on your Powerseeker 60AZ.
