Frequently Asked Questions

Q:
I'm planning to buy my first telescope. I am thinking about buying the Astromaster114EQ Celestron, I just want to get an advice, which telescope of similar kind is your best selling product?
A:
Another telescope that is similar (from the same range) and is our best seller is the Celestron Astromaster 130EQMD (http://www.ozscopes.com.au/reflector-telescope-celestron-astromaster-130eq-motor-drive.html). This one has a larger aperture and a motor drive as well, which helps to move the telescope tube to follow an object as it moves across the sky. We did have a lot in stock previously and they were selling very well, but we've currently run out of stock and they take about 1-2 weeks to come in from the supplier. Alternatively there is the Celestron Astromaster 130EQ (http://www.ozscopes.com.au/celestron-astromaster-130eq-telescope.html) which is the same as the above one, without the motor drive, and we have that in stock.

Another similar scope is the Saxon F1309EQMS (http://www.ozscopes.com.au/newtonian-reflector-telescope-saxon-f1309eqms.html). It is similar to the Celestron Astromaster 130EQMD and comes with the motor drive as well. Other than that there's also the Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ (http://www.ozscopes.com.au/reflector-telescope-celestron-powerseeker-127eq.html) but these two are not as popular as the Celestron Astromaster130EQMD.

I do recommend going for our bestseller 130EQMD because for the same price you are getting a larger aperture and would get more detail and clarity with the larger scope, plus you get a motor drive too. This is if you don't mind the 2-week wait of course.
