Does exactly what it is designed to do. - Review by

This erecting prism does exactly what it is designed to do, that is it inverts an image to make it appear upright. The image is also correct left to right i.e. not a mirror image.

I had to make 2 sleeves in order to be able to use this device because my (rather old) telescope was designed for a 1" eyepiece rather than a 1.25" eyepiece.

I have not observed any problems with this device.

FAQ

Q:
I'm planning to buy my first telescope. I am thinking about buying the Astromaster114EQ Celestron, I just want to get an advice, which telescope of similar kind is your best selling product?
A:
Another telescope that is similar (from the same range) and is our best seller is the Celestron Astromaster 130EQMD (http://www.ozscopes.com.au/reflector-telescope-celestron-astromaster-130eq-motor-drive.html). This one has a larger aperture and a motor drive as well, which helps to move the telescope tube to follow an object as it moves across the sky. We did have a lot in stock previously and they were selling very well, but we've currently run out of stock and they take about 1-2 weeks to come in from the supplier. Alternatively there is the Celestron Astromaster 130EQ (http://www.ozscopes.com.au/celestron-astromaster-130eq-telescope.html) which is the same as the above one, without the motor drive, and we have that in stock. Another similar scope is the Saxon F1309EQMS (http://www.ozscopes.com.au/newtonian-reflector-telescope-saxon-f1309eqms.html). It is similar to the Celestron Astromaster 130EQMD and comes with the motor drive as well. Other than that there's also the Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ (http://www.ozscopes.com.au/reflector-telescope-celestron-powerseeker-127eq.html) but these two are not as popular as the Celestron Astromaster130EQMD. I do recommend going for our bestseller 130EQMD because for the same price you are getting a larger aperture and would get more detail and clarity with the larger scope, plus you get a motor drive too. This is if you don't mind the 2-week wait of course.
