The Celestron Advanced Stereo Microscope is a stereo binocular microscope for the advanced low power user. This stereo microscope features two separate light paths (compared to a single light path in a compound microscope) which produce a true stereo, three dimensional (3-D) image of the specimen or object. These Celestron Microscopes have two 10x wide field eyepieces and a 2x and 4x objective lens providing powers of 20x and 40x. These low power magnifications are perfect for examining larger sized items such as insects, plants, flowers, rocks, stamps, coins, PC boards, hair, etc. Holding the two 10x eyepieces is the microscope 's binocular head that is inclined 45° and rotates 360° allowing for comfortable viewing in any position.
The Celestron Advanced Stereo Microscope has a Halogen Lamp for top and bottom illumination, great for viewing a variety of different size, shape, and colored objects. These microscopes have a stage that is 95mm (3.7") diameter, and stage plates that are black/white and frosted/opaque, giving the user options to use whichever background best enhances the view of an object.
