Economical and relatively reliable unit - Review by Chris
This unit is actually the newer 8MP version, not 5MP. It is identical to a number of other units, with only minor differences in the case. Electronically, the same as Scoutgard.
Prices have fallen rapidly in this market and so $450 is now easily beaten.
If using up-close for small animals, you will find that the infra-red LED lights need to be covered or heavily filtered. PIR sensitivity is erratic and not consistent across multiple units. A dial to adjust sensitivity (like some other models) would be preferable from software driven Low/Med/High settings which have no benchmark. After trial and error, you will get good results from this unit. (Posted on 1/02/11)

Frequently Asked Questions
Q:
Looking for an external 6 volt DC power supply for my bushnell trophy cam. Only 110 volts AC power is available at the camera site. Any suggestions for such a power supply?
A:
I have checked with our supplier to find out whether there is a optional power pack that can be purchased for the Bushnell Trophy Cam. It seems there isn't actually a specific power pack available for purchase. The Trophy Cam is designed to run off batteries, but my guess is that a DC adapter port is probably built into it in case you have a compatible power source that may work with the device.
